Town’s Census Info 500% Wrong.

Perhaps the population of the booming metropolis Lost Springs, Wyoming took its town’s name a little too seriously. According to the local newspaper, in 2000, only one resident of the five person town was properly counted in the census (for a total population of just one person).

That error was recently corrected:

The 2010 Census, however, got it right this time when it found and counted all four of Lost Springs’ residents. The newspaper reports that since the 2000 survey, two residents died but a newcomer moved in.  The state highway department says it will change the town’s population on signs.
